The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Universitas Riau held the Wirausaha Merdeka Mandiri (WMM) Exhibition on December 3, 2024, at the FEB Lecture Hall. This program is part of the implementation of Kampus Merdeka, a flagship strategic initiative designed to develop students' potential and entrepreneurial mindset.
Universitas Riau has taken the initiative to promote entrepreneurship independently within the campus environment. The growth of entrepreneurship is encouraged at the study program and faculty levels, which are considered the most effective platforms for business development since they are the closest units to students.
The WMM program includes various forms of entrepreneurial learning, such as Refreshment Class, Empathy and Problem Research, Creating Business Idea, Business Idea Validation, Mentoring, Business Matching Day, and evaluation. Through these activities, students are equipped with managerial, financial, technological adaptation, creativity, and product development skills to meet market needs.
Additionally, students are encouraged to actively develop their creativity and entrepreneurial innovation by participating in various well-structured programs. These strategic, innovative, and collaborative activities are expected to enhance students' leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and other essential soft skills needed for the future.
