The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Riau (FEB Unri) held a public lecture on the theme "Code of Ethics for Accounting Professionals and Strategic Management" at PPAk C and PPAk D Buildings. The lecture featured speakers Dr. Djonieri, SE, MBA, Ak, CA and Tedy Marco. This event was a collaboration between FEB Unri, the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) Riau Region, the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Riau (IKAFE), and PT Retail Connection Indonesia (PT RCI).

The Dean of FEB Unri emphasized that this public lecture plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of education at FEB Unri. Through this event, students could gain real-world insights into the theories they have learned throughout their academic studies. Furthermore, this activity also contributes to achieving the performance and targets set by Universitas Riau for FEB Unri.

Presentation of Materials

The first session was delivered by Dr. Djonieri, SE, MBA, Ak, CA, who discussed the importance of the code of ethics for professional accountants. He highlighted several major events that have shaped public perception of the accounting profession. As professionals responsible for verifying corporate financial information, accountants play a vital role in ensuring that financial statements are fairly and transparently presented. Therefore, adhering to the professional code of ethics is essential to restoring and maintaining public trust in the accounting profession.

The second session was presented by Tedy Marco, who shared key strategies for achieving success. He emphasized that one should never be afraid to dream. Every aspiration that arises should be actively pursued and realized. Additionally, he highlighted the invaluable role of parents, especially mothers, in providing encouragement and motivation toward success.

This public lecture aimed to broaden students' knowledge and inspire them as they navigate their academic and professional journeys.
